I am a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst with an MSc in Applied Behaviour Analysis. For the last 10 years, I have worked with individuals with autism, learning disabilities, brain injuries, and dementia who have displayed complex behaviour presentations and behaviours that challenge.

My main focus has always been striving to enhance the quality of life for individuals with complex support needs, through personalised and compassionate care with a focus on skill building - both for the person and the people that support them. I aim to empower both staff, managers and organisations by equipping them with comprehensive evidence-based resources. I have extensive experience with reviewing restrictive practices such as physical intervention, mechanical restraints and the usage of psychotropic medication, while also making plans for reducing these by using behavioural support strategies. I am a firm believer in the potential for growth and development in every individual and I am passionate about providing the necessary support and tools to facilitate positive change.

My interest in behavioural support started during my early career as a teacher, teaching children with additional needs. This experience inspired me to undertake a MEd Psychology of Education and later an MSc in Applied Behaviour Analysis. Over the last 10 years working in the field of health and social care, I have held varying positions including direct support, management, and behavioural support roles within residential, respite, supported living and domiciliary services.

My experience include working for charity and private health and social care providers as a Lead PBS Specialist attending to services nationwide and managing a team of practitioners. I have been fortunate enough to work with inspiring people over the years and repeatedly experienced positive outcomes of evidence-based PBS strategies within wide variety of settings. I am most passionate about developing and implementing Person Centred Active Support (PCAS) which incorporates skill teaching and positive risk taking. I strongly believe well developed PCAS can enable children and adults with additional needs to lead meaningful lives and flourish.
